What's Happening in Paradise?
8/2/08 - Paradise Cay Sweeps the Show in Conyers, GA I always talk about how much we love our horses and our clients and we decided to take a trip to the Georgia International Horse Park to compete in the Georgia Arabian Horse Association show. The park is beautiful and was the site of the 1996 Olympic equine events. We took two lovely young fillies--Hathors Passion (Thee Infidel x Wynemas Song) owned by Marty and Hope Young of Winnsboro, SC and Asils Emira (Thee Asil x Desperados Pride) owned by Pardise Cay. It was their first time away from home and going to a show but you wouldn't have known it--they excelled in every class and brought home two blue ribbons, a second place, and they won the Championship and Reserve Championship ribbon in their confirmation classes!
Hathors Passion admires one of her two blue ribbons. She went on to win the Championship class in confirmation. Congratulations to owners Marty and Hope Young and to Elizabeth Waldock who showed Passion to her victory!
Asils Emira was right on the heels of Hathors Passion taking second place and then winning Reserve Champion honors in the confirmation class. Shown here with me, Cheryl Corcoran, her mom enjoying a job well done!
Our stalls were dressed to impress and in our hospitality stall we offered refreshments to our fellow competitors and park visitors alike---it was great fun!
You don't have to show a horse to come to a show. We have a few more fall shows to attend and we invite you to come and join us for the fun. It's a great way to meet horse owners and see just how beautiful and versatile the Egyptian Arabian really is. Call me and I'll let you know where we're headed next so you can come and hang out with us! 800-648-2223 - pcarabians@hotmail.com.
7/19/08 - Lunch and Learn Fun in the Sun at Paradise It was a great day to come for a farm visit and here in Paradise, we had a house full. Lunching in the sunroom; snacking at the show pavillon; and of course, petting in the paddocks and barn; rounded out the day for our guests. It was the first time for the group to meet an Egyptian Arabian and for many the first time to be up close with a horse. All in all it was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon and we enjoyed hosting the experience.
Very personable, our girls just want to join in the party!
It's great to introduce new folks to our young fillies. They love the attention--and so do the guests!
Call and find out when our next Lunch and Learn is scheduled. It's free and full of smiles! Call today - 800-648-2223 or email me us pcarabians@hotmail.com.
6/21/08 - Paradise Cay Becomes a Foster Farm There is no doubt that Bill and I love what we do and we love this amazing breed. When the local SPCA saved a herd of Arabian horses from starvation we looked for ways to help. We contributed by attending events to raise money, gave donations and then decided to foster a mature stallion. He is a lovely grey we've named "Fabio" because of his long, flowing mane. He is making a great adjustment and is enjoying his own pasture of grass, plenty of fresh water, feed, and carrots. He loves attention and is a lovely sight to see. We are happy to help him recover from his ordeal and look forward to him finding a great home soon.
A really handsome man who loves the ladies!
If you love animals and are curious to learn more about the Arabian breed, give me a call and come by for a visit. We enjoy sharing what we have and are blessed to have such wonderful companions. Hope to meet you soon - Cheryl Corcoran, 800-648-2223; pcarabians@hotmail.com.
6/4/08 - The 2008 Egyptian Event was Spectacular! Each year The Pyramid Society holds a competition for Straight Egyptian Arabian breeders from around the world at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. It is a marvelous venue and gives lovers of this breed a chance to show off their very best in the show ring. This year our good friends from Paradise Arabians LTD in Dalton Georgia and Arabians LTD in Waco, TX had an outstanding show. They took many blue ribbons and championships with their wonderful show string. We were there to cheer them on and enjoy the festivities all week.
Paradise Arabians sweeps many events during the show!
The Kentucky Horse Park is a great place to visit, especially in June for the Egyptian Event.
If you'd like to learn more about The Egyptian Event and how you can join the fun, give us a ring. We have the scoop and it would be great if you could join us in 2009--800-648-2223 or pcarabians@hotmail.com.
5/31/08 - Paradise Cay Sponsors Clients at a Citadel Golf Tournament The 13th annual Brian C. Martin Memorial Golf Tournament was held at the Oak Hills Golf Club in Columbia, SC. The tournament helps raise money for a need-based scholarship program. As a result of this scholarship, several young men who could not afford to attend The Citadel have been able to benefit from a Citadel education. My husband Bill is a Citadel Alumni and when he heard about the tournament, we just had to be a sponsor. Rick Harvey and Sue Ward, owners of three lovely Egyptian Arabians--Alialas Faberge, Aaliyah Amirah, and their new little filly, Kajlaneh-- enjoy playing golf and they were the perfect couple to represent Paradise Cay in the tournament. We all had a great time and contributed to a worthy cause.
A great looking team tackles the Oak Hill front nine!

5/26/08 - A Lovely Gift Arrives at Dawn in Paradise As the sun started to rise in the east this morning Alialas Faberge laid down and gave owners Sue Ward and Rick Harvey a wonderful gift--a beautiful filly! Sired by Mishaal HP, a stellar stallion owned by Arabians LTD in Waco, TX, this filly not only has a fantastic pedigree, but she has the look of an exotic Arabian of the desert. At only a few hours old this girl was chatting up a storm and letting everyone know she had arrived. She has a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to watch her mature into a spectacular mare.
Our newest little princess arrives at dawn with the sun....a vision of loveliness. We expected nothing less from Mishaal HP and Alialas Faberge
"It's ok sweetness, I'm right here", mom reassures her new girl that everything is just fine.

Noir Desir-"Desi" (Alixir x Desperita) gave birth to a handsome little Pimlico RCA colt. He and his mom are enjoying their time in the Mare-ternity Ward's finest birthing suite while his older aunts and sisters look on in approval. We are proud of Desi as she is a first time mom and has taken to the task lovingly.
Proud mom Noir Desir (Desi) and her new little man relax in the warm southern sun.

The Arabian Horse Breeders Alliance held it's second annual World Breeders Cup show April 17-20 in fabulous Las Vegas and we were there for the festivities! Twenty-six countries competed showing off the very best in Arabian bloodlines. Our good friends and affiliate farm, Paradise Arabians LTD, Dalton, GA successfully presented two outstanding horses--their very own Scapa (Mishaal HP x Erie Anna) a 3-year old stallion and Bint Al Riyahh (Thee Asil x Emperial Sparkle) a 3-year old filly owned by Scott and Missy Head. Both horses did extremely well in their first world class show impressing judges from Jordan, Brazil, Italy, Australia, and the US. We were thirlled to be there to see the competition and we congratulate Scapa, Bint Al Riyahh, and their owners on their outstanding performance against the world!

4/5/08 - PC Attends Breeding Conference in Waco, TX One of the great things about being part of an extended family of Straight Egyptian Arabian breeders is you have the opportunity to learn from leaders in this horse industry. Twice a year our partner farm in Waco, TX, Arabians LTD, conducts Client Conferences on breeding and showing. It gives folks across the country a chance to learn more on important topics like how to select the right breeding stallion to how to prepare for an upcoming show. It also brings together people from around the globe giving everyone an opportunity to meet new people and rekindle old friendships.
The weekend of April 4th was the Client Breeding Conference. It was a special weekend not only because of the wonderful guest speakers, but because Thee Desperado celebrated his 19th birthday and was honored by Breyer with a collectable horse made in his image.
It was a very memorable weekend with lots of great information, wonderful food, fun people, and of course lots of beautiful horses.

3/15/08 – Paradise Cay Attends a Fantastic Clinic
Talaria, a beautiful farm in South Georgia, hosted an educational and fun clinic this weekend bringing together Arabian horse experts and enthusiasts from across the country and the world. Learning more about the intelligence and pleasing attitude of these amazing Egyptian Arabian horses was exciting, and meeting people who have dedicated their lives to preserving and training these majestic horses was even more so. In addition, Sue Ward, a Paradise Cay client and great friend, and I were able to spend time with The Mackey’s and their family at their growing farm in Newnan. Jen-Nor Arabians is a lovely farm with a wonderful band of Egyptian foundation mares currently in the breeding shed for 2009 foals. Their hospitality and friendship are greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing them grow in the coming years.

3/24/07 - Two New Clients Join the Paradise Cay Family! We are so happy to congratulate and welcome to our horse family two new clients--Sue Ward and Rick Harvey and Debbie and David Myers!
Both couples came to the Clemson show to cheer us on and learn more about how this breed can be a great asset to build a business around. Sue and Rick fell in love with Aaliyah Amirah, a beautiful yearling bay filly. She is a Thee Desperado daughter and has the looks and movement to be in the ribbons every time! They bought her just after the Clemson show and have sent her to our affiliate farm in Georgia (Paradise Arabians LTD) for show training. Sue wants to be part of the show fun, and plans to debut little Aaliyah at The Event (where the world competes with their finest Egyptian Arabians) in June. We will be there to cheer them both on!
Aaliyah Amirah is a beautiful show girl in the making!
Debbie and David Myers also decided they want to start a business with Egyptian Arabians, but wanted to get a jump start, so they purchased a big, bold, beautiful mature mare in foal. Dafiinah MCE, also bay in color, is sired by Thee Infidel. He is a very commanding stallion with almost as many accolades as his father--Thee Desperado. Dafiinah is in foal to Alixir (another proven show stallion) and is due in early July. She will be foaling out here at Paradise Cay and we are just as excited about the baby as the Myers' are!
Dafiinah MCE (Thee Infidel x Masira Bay) is a stunning mare. She's a big, bold beauty. Debbie and David selected an excellent broodmare as a foundation for their business.
We are very happy for our new clients and their new girls. Two different clients, two different purchases, both heading for the same result--their own business using Egyptian Arabian horses. Sue and Rick will show and grow with Aaliyah until she is ready to start producing their saleable babies; Debbie and David wanted to hit the ground running so they bought Dafiinah, who will give them a baby to market in July. What's your horse dream? Come have a glass of ice tea with me and lets map it out together---I'm here to help you get your dream started. The horses...well honestly they're only here for the carrots!!! Give me a call or send me an email so we can get started--Cheryl Corcoran - 866-648-2223 - pcarabians@hotmail.com ******
3/13/07 - Paradise Cay Divas steal the show in Clemson! On March 9th at the Western Carolina Arabian Horse Association Show in Clemson, South Carolina, a new Paradise Cay client--Mary Ellen Beverly and her lovely filly LL Shara Starr made their show debut and soared past the competition to win two blue ribbons; a Reserve Champion honor; and the Amateur Owner to Handle Championship! Congratulations Mary Ellen and Starr--you go girls!
Our own Lily of Paradise came in fourth place and although she may be a youngester, she proved that she is one to watch in the show ring. Both fillies are under the kind and loving training of Misty Kenworthy at our partner farm in Dalton, Georgia. With only six weeks of training, these fillies impressed the judges and wowed the crowd with their beauty and poise. Thanks Misty for all your hard work getting these girls ready and for training their human handlers!
Lily and Misty strike a pose for the judges
In addition to her ribbons, Mary Ellen received a silver platter for her Amatuer Owner to Handle Championship--L-R: Me! Cheryl Corcoran, Mary Ellen Beverly, & Misty Kenworthy--head trainer for Paradise Arabians LTD in Georgia.
Mary Ellen and Starr soar to victory in the ring! The show was lots of fun and all of our guests had a blast cheering us on, meeting new friends, and getting up close and personal with our girls. Sound like something you'd like to do? Call or email me to find out how family, friends, and fun are all part of the Egyptian Arabian Horse experience. The information is free and so is the call. What are you waiting for? ;-) Cheryl Corcoran - 1-866-648-2223 - pcarabians@hotmail.com
