The 2009 Egyptian Event Was Wonderful!

The Event is the world’s largest showcase for the Egyptian Arabian horse and has long been viewed as one of the most important shows to attend on the international Arabian event calendar.  Held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, the show runs the first week in June and I know I say this every year, but this was a great week filled with amazing horses; awesome friends; new acquaintances; and lots of show fun!

  Bill Emira EE 2009

Our very own mare, Asils Emira (Thee Asil x Desperados Pride) was shown to a top five win (4th) in the Extended Specialty Halter class; and shown to top ten honors with Sue Ward competing in the World Class 4-5 year olds against many seasoned professional handlers and horses.  Sue was totally in control and with grace and gentle handling she showed Emira beautifully garnering a 7th place win–they rocked!  The most exciting class for me was when Bill, my husband, showed for the first time ever Emira in the novice class.  He too was a calm leader and he and Emira sailed into the ring showing first and walking away with top ten honors outshining more than half of the 21 horses in the class.

It is always fun to spend time with your friends; meet new horse lovers and connect with those who value the Egyptian Arabian and preserving its legacy.  We are truly blessed to have people in our lives with such passion and dedication to helping others succeed.   We invite you to come visit Paradise Cay and we will be sure to give you all the details of our trip and introduce you to our four legged family.  They make our lives so much more meaningful and fulfilled!  Hope to see you soon – Cheryl Corcoran
